Welcoming Alisa Santikarn to the GloCo Project Team!
We are excited to welcome Dr. Alisa Santikarn as the newest post-doctoral fellow in the GloCo project. Alisa brings a wealth of expertise in conservation, and we are thrilled to have her join our team. During her time with the GloCo project, she will be focusing on documenting traditional conservation methods and terminology in Cambodia and Thailand, as well as collaborating with local researchers in Northeast India.
In addition to her work in documenting these cultural practices, Alisa will employ participatory counter-mapping techniques to capture valuable environmental knowledge from local communities. Her research will demonstrate how nature itself can serve as a museum, preserving knowledge through landscapes, biodiversity, and traditions.
We look forward to the insights Alisa will bring to the GloCo project and the impact her work will have on our understanding of conservation in these regions.
Welcome aboard, Alisa!
