HERitage Book Club: Second Session Recap

The HERitage Book Club is off to a strong start! Our second meeting took place earlier this month, bringing together curious minds for an inspiring discussion on two key texts:

  • Mary Louise Pratt, Arts of the Contact Zone (1991)

  • James Clifford, Museums as Contact Zones (1997)

As the titles already suggest, we explored the idea of "contact zones"—spaces of cultural encounter, negotiation, and complexity—and reflected on how these concepts relate to institutions, narratives, and our own practices.

A big thank you to everyone who joined the conversation. We’re looking forward to the next session already!
