About the Course
The lecture series examines the evolution of museums, from early curiosity cabinets to modern institutions across Europe, the United States, Africa, and the Middle East. Through case studies of art museums, historical museums, archives, and ethnographic collections, the course delves into the materiality of exhibitions, museum politics, and the complexities of institutional structures.
