HERitage Book Club – Our Team’s New Reading Space!
We’re excited to share that we’ve founded the HERitage Book Club—a space within our team to read, reflect, and discuss heritage, museums, and cultural theory together. Our goal is to make time for engaging texts, spark new ideas, and exchange perspectives in a relaxed setting.
We will meet once a month to discuss a text over a cup of coffee or tea that we’ve read in advance. It’s a great way to finally get to those readings we’ve been meaning to explore or discover something entirely new—together.
At our inspiring first meeting, we explored Laurajane Smith’s Uses of Heritage—or as Alisa put it, an “old Cambridge classic that everyone quotes.” We discussed how heritage is shaped and contested, setting the stage for many more thought-provoking conversations ahead.
If you want to stay up to date and dive into some reading yourself, we’ll keep an updated list with our readings here, so everyone interested can follow along. Feel free to browse!
Happy reading,
Alisa, Laura, Noémie, Mariama, Anna-Marie, Maeva, Cécile, Ruby, Renée, Manon & Franzi
